About
Hello, I’m Kimberly.
I am a fully licensed clinical social worker. I graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2015. Through my career I have spent time working in chronic mental illness, developmental disabilities, and Unidentified refugee minors. Prior to becoming a clinical therapist, I spent several years working as a medical social worker completing psychiatric assessment for individuals experiencing crisis.
My primary focus as a therapist includes Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). I love to support kids that are at risk of being kicked out of day care or display tantrums or defiant behavior at home. However, PCIT is also beneficial for children who are adopted or in blended families.
In addition, I have a passion for working with young adults working with anxiety, depression, low self esteem and life transitions, utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing.
Outside of my professional experience, I am currently a licensed, foster home and a member of non-nuclear family raising a beautiful “bonus, daughter.” Both my professional and personal experience has provided me your knowledge and experience to help support individuals and diverse situation.
I look forward to meeting you!
